The Vermont Child Health Improvement Program (VCHIP) at the University of Vermont was hired to conduct Vermont’s YIT evaluation. There are three evaluators: Thomas Delaney, Jody Kamon, and Jesse Suter (pictured at left). Tom and Jody work for VCHIP and Jesse works at the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion also at UVM. Ellen Talbert is the evaluation coordinator at VCHIP. While many of the interviews with young adults and caregivers (or adult allies) will be conducted by Tom, Jody, and Jesse, other interviewers will be hired as the need arises.
We also seek guidance from the E-Team, an advisory group of young adults, family members, and adult allies. The E-Team meets on a quarterly basis (sometimes more) and advises all aspects of the evaluation from which questions to ask and how to ask them, to what does all the data we get back mean, to how do we share the data with our communities.
